LEXINGTON -- For several months the dread hectic flush which has suffered the emaciated features of Miss Maxwell indicated that the genial and cultured young lady was nearing the dark river of dissolution, the victim of that insidious destroyer -- consumption;  and the constant vigils of friends and the best medical talent which was brought into requisition failed to avert the presence of the stern reaper, death, and a few days ago he intruded his skeleton hand and with her mind on the beatific happiness of heaven, and a placid smile irradiating her features, she crossed the dark river of death to the illimitable realms of heaven.  

The deceased was the daughter of Mr. George Maxwell, of this vicinity, and was aged 19 years ...
